What’s In My Content Bag? The Tools I Use to Make Content Easier
This post may contain affiliate links. Please read the disclaimer

One of the questions I get asked most often is:
“How do you keep coming up with content ideas?”
The truth is, I don’t rely on memory.
I don’t sit down every week hoping inspiration shows up.
Instead, I’ve built a collection of simple tools, folders, and resources that make content creation easier.
Think of it like a content bag.
Just like someone might carry their favorite notebook, water bottle, or headphones, I have a handful of content resources I keep coming back to over and over again.
Here’s what’s inside.
Before We Start: Download the Content Planner & Brand Playbook
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that content gets easier when you stop trying to remember everything and start creating systems for it.
That’s why I created the Content Planner & Brand Playbook.
It’s designed to help you map your content, organize your ideas, and create a simple content system that makes showing up consistently feel much more manageable.
Inside you’ll find tools to help you:
- Organize your content ideas
- Plan future content
- Clarify your messaging
- Create content faster
- Build a repeatable content workflow

Links to My Best Past Content
One of the most valuable things I save is my own content.
Whenever a post performs well, gets engagement, drives traffic, or sparks conversations, I save it.
Not because I want to copy it.
Because I know I’ll want to revisit it later.
Sometimes a post can be updated.
Sometimes it becomes a video.
Sometimes it becomes an email, blog post, or carousel.
Good content doesn’t have to be used once and forgotten.

Saved Reels Audio
When I come across audio that fits my brand, I save it.
Even if I have no immediate plans to use it.
That way, when I decide to create a Reel, I already have a collection of audio ideas waiting for me.
Instead of searching from scratch every time, I can focus on creating.

My Canva Brand Kit
My fonts, colors, logos, and visual elements all live in one place. Having these assets ready to go makes content creation much easier because I’m not making the same decisions over and over again. If you’re still building your brand foundation, here are 10 essential branding assets for your online business or blog that can help create a more consistent look and feel.
My brand kit removes dozens of tiny decisions every time I create something.
The less I have to think about design choices, the more energy I can spend on the actual message.
Consistency becomes easier when the decisions are already made.

My Favorite Canva Templates
I rarely start from a blank page.
Over time I’ve built a collection of templates I know work for my brand.
Instagram graphics.
Story templates.
Pinterest pins.
Video thumbnails.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, I simply start with a framework and customize it for the content I’m creating.

My Content Planner
This is where everything comes together.
Ideas.
Upcoming posts.
Content themes.
Future projects.
Repurposing opportunities.
Having a single place to organize content means I don’t have to keep everything in my head.
And that’s a huge relief.

Lists of Content Ideas
Whenever I think of an idea, I save it.
Whenever I see a great hook, I save it.
Whenever someone asks a question, I save it.
Over time those little notes become a library of future content.
The goal isn’t to create content every day.
The goal is to build a system that makes content easier when you’re ready to create.

My Photo and Video Library
One of the biggest time drains in content creation is searching for visuals.
That’s why I keep folders of photos and videos that already fit my brand.
When it’s time to create something, I already know where to look.
No endless scrolling.
No hunting for the perfect image.
Just assets that are ready to use.

My Monthly Content Kit
Every month I create a new content kit packed with ideas, captions, templates, photos, and resources.
It’s essentially a collection of content ingredients.
When I’m planning content, I don’t start with a blank page.
I start with resources that help me move faster.

The Real Secret
People often assume consistent content creators are naturally more organized, more creative, or better at marketing.
I don’t think that’s true.
I think many of them simply have systems.
The goal isn’t perfect organization.
The goal is making the next step obvious.
When your ideas are saved, your visuals are organized, your templates are ready, and your content is planned, creating content becomes a whole lot easier.
That’s what my content bag is really about.
Not having more ideas.
Having a place to keep them.
