14 Marketing Strategies That Grow Your Business without Social Media
This post may contain affiliate links. Please read the disclaimer
If you’re looking for ways to market your business without the constant need for social media or spending money on ads for social media platforms, this post will help you get started.
Social media is a helpful tool and will boost your digital product business. However, social media isn’t the only way to market your products and services. In fact, there are plenty of other effective marketing strategies that don’t require constant attention to social media.
Here are some ideas for other marketing practices you can add to your marketing plan.
1. Create a blog and publish new content regularly.
Blogging is a great way to build relationships with your audience, share information that’s relevant to them and create a sense of community too.
For example: if you have an e-book on how to grow tomatoes in containers, don’t just write one blog post about it and expect people who are interested in growing tomatoes in containers will buy your book right away! Instead create multiple posts related specifically towards this topic to boost your search engine ranking and increase the likelihood of people finding your content.
You can also create an email list with this simple plan to stay in touch with your audience and keep them updated about new content and insert your call to action for it in the blog post. Once you’ve published a blog post, send an email blast to your subscribers letting them know about it!
Sending regular traffic to your website and blog posts through email could mean increase in awareness of your products and an increase in sales.
That said, you’d want to publish new content regularly to continue to grow your community and digital product sales. But, unlike social media, a blog is typically a longer-term strategy that takes time to build up. You don’t want to publish one blog post and then disappear for a month or two. Instead, you should publish new content on your blog at least once per week!
This is one reason I included a course on Blogging For More Traffic and included it in the membership. In it, I show you how to repurpose and create blog posts that convert traffic into leads. These proven tactics increase organic traffic with your blog, with simple ways to batch blog posts easily.
2. Make YouTube Videos and embed them on your blog
YouTube is the second-largest search engine in the world, so it’s no surprise that video content is a powerful way to attract new customers and engage existing ones.
Once a video is uploaded, you can also embed them on your blog using YouTube’s “Embed” feature.
The benefit of embedding a YouTube video on your blog is that it allows readers of your blog to click through to your YouTube channel for more. This is especially useful if you’re trying to drive traffic from your blog to YouTube, where viewers are often looking for additional resources about the topic at hand.
Inside the Ivory Mix membership, I give VIP annual members the YouTube Authority Course. This course will teach you how to leverage YouTube to grow your following and email list so that you get more leads for your business. I show everything from how to plan, create, and edit.
3. Pin your Blog posts, Products, Lead Magnets. and YouTube Videos on Pinterest
Pinterest is a great way to reach a new audience. You can pin your blog posts, product images and videos, lead magnets, or any other content you’d like to share with others.
You may be asking why I included Pinterest? Isn’t Pinterest a social media platform?
The answer is yes and no. While Pinterest is a social media platform, it’s also a search engine. People use Pinterest to find products they’re interested in or blog posts that will help them solve problems. Therefore, when you pin your content on Pinterest, it helps increase organic traffic from Google to your blog, products, and other websites.
Pinterest makes it easy for people who find your pins on Pinterest to go directly to your website where they can learn more about the product and sign up for email updates. By pinning everything related to your business on Pinterest, you will see growth in both traffic and conversions over time.

4. Work on lead magnets to build an email list
Lead magnets are a great way to build an email list, attract new customers and promote your product or service.
Lead magnets are any kind of free resource you can offer in exchange for someone’s contact information. The most common types of lead magnets include:
- Ebooks (PDFs)
- Checklists/worksheets/handouts
- Short Video Tutorials
- Free Resource Libraries (check out our library of 500 free photos, templates, and content)
To create an effective lead magnet: Make it valuable to your audience. The more useful the lead magnet is, the more likely people will be willing to give up their contact information in exchange for it. Focus on creating a lead magnet that solves a problem or offers value in some way that’s relevant to your target customer and products you offer.
Ready to grow your email list so that you can fill your funnels and start making sales? In the email course included in the Ivory Mix membership for VIP members, I will show you how to set it up, drive traffic to your lead magnets and attract followers onto your email list.
5. Use email marketing to stay connected with customers and potential customers.
Email marketing is a great way to stay connected with customers and potential customers while providing value to them. Email is also one of the most effective ways to generate sales through email drip campaigns that nurture prospects over time until they’re ready for a sale.
You can use email marketing to send out updates about your business, new products, and offers.
The key to effective email marketing is providing value. You should only send out emails that offer something of interest to your customers and potential customers. If you’re not sure what information would be valuable, ask someone who is in your target market what they would find useful and then create that type of content.
Inside the Ivory Mix membership, we’ve included this Easy Email Conversion Bundle that will show you how to grow your email list with the right ideal audience and clients and convert them into paying buyers faster. You’ll be able to create your welcome series and sales funnel of emails that convert quickly and easily with these proven templates.
6. Create a live online webinar or workshop
Webinars are a great way to reach a large audience at once. They’re also a great way to build your email list, because you can ask people who attend the webinar to sign up for updates and notifications about future events or products.
Webinars work particularly well as sales tools because they allow potential buyers some time before making a decision.
You can create a live webinar that will help people in your target market solve a problem they have that leads into your digital product or paid programs. For example, if you have a course about how to start an online business, you could create a live online workshop that focuses on helping people find their niche for that online business and then at the end, include an exclusive offer to join your course.
The good news is, if your spend time growing your email list, you can promote the sign up for this webinar to your list instead of having to post on social media or run ads.

7. Develop a new skill related to your products and services
Once you’ve created your product or service, it’s important to continue to grow as a person. Your personal development will help you improve on what you offer and make you stand out from the competition.
If you’re in marketing, this could mean learning about copywriting; if you’re in business coaching, perhaps you can learn how to teach others. It can also mean learning how to do something that will help you improve your business, like learning Photoshop or how to use Canva.

8. Interview others who have used your product for testimonials and case studies
To get started, you’ll need to find people who have used your product. This can be done through emailing your existing customers.
The questions should also focus on specific details; for example: “What was your biggest challenge?” Or “What was one thing you learned while using this product?”
Once you’ve collected all of these testimonials/case studies from others who have used your digital product business’ products/services/website etc., use them as proof points on your sales page and product pages for readers who might benefit from what these people had said about using this specific type of service or tool before!

9. Make new Digital Products using PLR
PLR stands for “private label rights.” Private label rights are the rights to use someone else’s product as your own, with no obligation of giving them credit. You can create a new ebook, video course or other digital product using PLR, and sell it as your own. This is a great way to make money online because you’re not creating anything from scratch—you’re simply packaging what someone else has already done into something new.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to make money, we have PLR (Private label Rights) digital products you can resell and keep 100% of the profits. You can sell them as is or rebrand them and modify them as you wish. Want unlimited access to all products for one price? Check out the membership. Learn more about the resale product license here.
PLR can save you time and money because you don’t have to spend hours or days writing something brand new. You can find PLR content in many different niches, including health and fitness, business and finance, parenting and more.
10. Make an Online Course to Sell
If you have higher-ticket services then an online course can be a great addition to your marketing strategy. Creating an online course can be a down-sell offer to help your audience without getting the higher-ticket service or offer.
For example, if you have a local fitness program that helps people lose weight or get in shape, then creating an online course that teaches people how to do this themselves may be helpful in getting more clients from around the world.
If you have lower ticket digital products, an online course can be an upsell and a way for your audience to work with you further without having to spurge on a service or a 1:1 option. This will save them money but also ensure you’re helping them further but not leaving money on the table.
Inside the membership, we’ve added multiple workshops and lessons to help you with this.
11. Create an automated welcome sequence with your email marketing platform
An automated welcome sequence is a series of emails that you send to new subscribers who join your list. The purpose of this sequence is to welcome them, introduce yourself and let them know how they can get started with your content or products. You can also use this sequence to build trust and rapport with your audience by sharing stories or experiences that are relevant to them.
This can be done through any email marketing platform, such as ConvertKit.Â
12. Write guest posts for other blogs and websites.
Writing a guest post for another blog or website is one of the best ways to get your name and brand out there in your industry. You’ll also be able to build relationships with other bloggers, which can help you grow your business in the future.
This also helps with SEO because when you write a guest post, the publisher will usually link back to your website. This can help boost your rankings in search engines like Google.
When writing a guest post, make sure it’s something that will be useful for readers on that particular site. Make sure it includes links back to your website or product page (if relevant), so people who read it can learn more about what you do and buy from you!
13. Get involved in the community of your product’s industry by joining online communities, Facebook Groups, and attending in-person meetups for networking
In addition to participating in online communities, you can also get involved by in-person groups. These are a great way to connect with others who share your interests.
If there aren’t any local meetups near your location, consider organizing one yourself! Meetups offer an opportunity for people in similar industries or roles to come together face-to-face so they can learn from each other’s experiences.
It’s also an excellent way to market your business by giving out business cards and introducing yourself to new people.
This is how I got involved in some of the best and most profitable collaborations I’ve ever done.
14. Set up an affiliate program for your products
You can also set up an affiliate program. This is a great way to grow your business by getting others to promote your products for you. You’ll need to create an agreement with the people who sign up as affiliates (or “referrers”) and give them some sort of incentive for sending customers in your direction. You’ll want to make sure that this agreement covers everything from how much money they’ll earn per sale, what products are eligible for referral commissions and whether or not there are any restrictions on where referrals can be made.
Some platforms come with affiliate program software integrated in them, like Teachable, SendOwl, and ecommerce platforms like Woocommerce has plugins.
I put together three proven email templates you can use in your own business to collaborate and recruit affiliates and joint-venture partners here.
