What to post on Instagram For Your Business (Even If You’re Burnt Out)

Running a business is a lot. If you’re anything like me, you’ve had days, weeks, or maybe even entire seasons where your energy is low, creativity is non-existent, and you’re still expected to show up online like everything’s fine.
Here’s the good news: you can still move your business forward even on low-energy days. You just need a content system that works for you.

1. The Relatable Quote or One-Liner
This isn’t about posting ultra aesthetic Pinterest quotes. The right quote or one-liner should be hyper-relatable to your audience and tied to your brand or offers. Like this one I posted a few months ago:

That one post post took me just a few minutes to write, and not only did it get great engagement—it led to actual clicks and leads as you’ll see in the insights I took a screenshot of today.
2. The Repurposed Post
Don’t reinvent the wheel. Go back 3, 6, or even 12 months and find a post that performed well—then repost it. Update the visuals if needed, but reuse the message.
Most of your audience didn’t see it the first time. And your newer followers definitely didn’t.
Better yet, take a post that had great engagement or interest and turn it into something deeper. For example:
- Expand a caption into a carousel with more context or tips.
- Turn a quick tip post into a mini-story or behind-the-scenes explanation.
- Break down the steps of a “results” post into how-to content.
This turns existing content into something new without starting from scratch—and gives your audience more value in the process.

3. The Lazy Reel
Take either of the two posts above and turn them into a reel. Seriously. No dancing, no voiceover, no camera confidence required.
Just record yourself looking at the camera. Add a relatable hook in text like:
- “Not to be dramatic, but…”
- “Unpopular opinion:”
- “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but…”
- “remember:..”
Overlay your quote or message as text. That’s it. Or use B-roll—like making coffee—if you really don’t want to show your face.
Here are a few of my own examples:

Final Thoughts
When you’re tired, you don’t need to disappear. You need a super simple system.
That’s why I build content kits that work when you don’t want to. Every month, members get ready-to-use Instagram posts, Pinterest pins, emails, blogs, stories, and more—designed to save time, not waste it.
