There was a time when I created an offer that I thought was perfect. It was a mini course that taught simple phone photography with no fancy equipment and no technical learning curve. I felt proud of it. I worked hard on it. I believed it would be the starter product people were waiting for. I poured time and care into recording lessons, outlining the curriculum, organizing every detail, and adding helpful downloads. I hit publish with excitement and full belief that sales would follow.
What I did not expect was silence.
A few sales came in, but nothing close to what I imagined while building it. I kept refreshing my dashboard hoping I was simply early. Step One: Clarify the problem that your idea solves
The easiest way to validate an idea is to first connect it to a real world problem that someone is feeling right now. When people feel the problem clearly, they are more interested in the solution.
Ask yourself
• What frustration does this idea remove
• What outcome does it make easier
• What stress or delay does it solve
Action step: Write one sentence that starts with someone is struggling with and finish it honestly.
Reminder: Clear problem equals clear value.
Step Two: Identify who benefits most
The right idea can fail if shared with the wrong audience. A clear audience helps you speak directly and reduces confusion.
Ask yourself
• Who will feel seen by this offer
• What stage are they in
• Why will they care
Action step: Describe one specific person and their current situation.

Step Three: Check audience desire not just audience need
People often need growth or skills, but what they want is speed, clarity, relief, and results. Desire sells faster than responsibility.

• Would someone want this because it feels helpful
• Or because it feels exciting and relieving
Action step: List three things your audience wants to feel after buying.
Reminder: Desire creates urgency.
Step Four: Share the idea in simple language
If people ask follow up questions, want details, or say that sounds like something I need, you have early validation signals. If they seem confused, the message or format might need adjustment.
Action step: Write a one sentence post or message that clearly describes your idea.

Step Five: Ask interest questions in a casual way
You do not need a long survey. You can ask quick questions that encourage honest answers.

• Would this be helpful for you
• Which part sounds most useful
• Would you prefer to learn it or have it done for you
Action step: Ask three interest questions on stories, email, or inside a community.
Step Six: Watch for active not passive interest
Passive interest sounds like cute idea or maybe one day.
Active interest sounds like how much is it or when can I get it or I need this now.
Action step: Track which responses show real intent.
Reminder: Real interest sounds curious, urgent, or enthusiastic.
Step Seven: Compare DIY interest versus done for you interest
This is a very important part of validation. People might love the idea but prefer a different delivery. Many offers fail because the idea is right, but the format is not.
Action step: Ask your audience if they prefer to learn how or have it ready to use.

Step Eight: Share a tiny sample or preview
When people see a result or a small piece of the concept, they will react more honestly because it becomes real, not hypothetical.
Action step: Create a very small preview and share it publicly or privately.

Step Nine: Invite small commitment
